~To honor Their Majesties' love for each other and to pledge respectful allegiance to Their Majesties, who have been caring for the well-being of the people for more than 50 years, the Bank of Thailand printed commemorative banknotes in celebration of the 50th Wedding Anniversary and the 50th Coronation Anniversary,the number of 50-baht notes printed was 999,999.
~This was the first time in the history of Thailand that banknotes of this nature had been issued.
